Announcement

After prayerful consideration, I've decided to close the Memory Garden Scrapbook Shoppe at the end of January. I've struggled with this decision because the store is doing well, but there are other factors to consider. Right now I need to devote my attention to my family, my home and myself.

The store will be open only on Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays in January. We'll have one more Friday Night Crop, Card Connection & Cricut Swarm. Ayde and I look forward to spending time with you, and making this a great send-off.

Starting Monday (Jan. 3) everything in the store will be 25% off. I've put out several new items in the last week. Come in soon for best selection.

Please check the calendar for the complete schedule, and register for all events via e-mail.

I'll see you soon.

I'm Thankful

I'm so blessed, and thankful for each of you. To express my gratitiude, I'm offering this FREE make-n-take to everyone who comes in and mentions they saw this on our blog! It's made with our cake slice die and Cricut Paper Doll Dress-Up cartridge. You can fill it with all kinds of goodies.
You have to come in tomorrow through Friday of this week, though. Remember, the store will be closed from Nov. 20 - 26th.
Those of you who are attending our Cricut Swarm, I've got you covered. I'll have a kit for each of you on Friday night.
Keep in mind this is my sample- and looks a bit messy. I didn't even wait for it to dry before I took the photo & smeared the stickles. It really is cute in person.
I'll see you soon.

Joy & Jubilation

A little while ago my UPS guy drives up, and my heart goes pitter-patter. What can he be bringing me today? What joy and jubilation I felt when I opened that box and found an assortment of Tim Holtz NEW stamps. I would've posted a picture, but it wouldn't do them justice. You'll just have to come in and take a look.
I also have a limited quantity of his Tattered Floral & Rosette dies on hand.
Gotta lOVE this guy...Tim Holtz - not my UPS man.

12 Hours of FUN

What a day! Thanks to everyone who joined us for our 12 Hour Crop on Saturday. It never seems like we've been at it for 12 hours after the day is done. It was a pleasure being surrounded by a group of such talented ladies. I appreciate you all very much.
This is of one of the make-n-take projects presented during the crop & some of the ladies working on it. As always, Ayde presented a fabulous idea to us. Thank you Ayde for sharing your creativity. The ladies enjoyed it.

Grunge Flower Frame Class

We had a great time on Saturday during Cindy's class. Although everyone was working on the same project, they each turned out different. You know how that is. We learned how to make dimensional flowers out of grunge paper, and they turned out beautiful. Thanks ladies for a fun Saturday.

Pumpkin Cat

You all know that most of my projects end up half-way started...I actually completed this one! I used the new Halloween line by Echo Park. It has a vintage feel, so I paired it up with this "Pumpkin Cat" stamp. What do you think?

Of course, everything I used can be found here at MGSS.

Sizzix Dies by Tim Holtz

I still have a few of these Tim Holtz dies available. I almost didn't get a chance to put them on the shelf-they were selling off my counter when I first got them. Remember, if you're interested in purchasing any Tim Holtz die - or any other die that you can't find locally, let me know and I'll look into ordering it for you. Also, Tim Holtz's new die cut machine "The Vagabond" is on pre-order. I'll put you on the list if you're interested.

Susan G. Komen Fund Raiser

As many of you already know, ScrapPink was suspended for this year by the sponsor (Scrapbooks etc. Magazine). Instead we're selling these 15 month calendars to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation. They are $20 and 100% of that will go towards the foundation. Each month features a local breast cancer survivor. Please come by the store for your copy & let's do all we can for this very worthy cause.

Halloween's a HOOOOT!

Here's a card made with the brand new A Muse stamps we just received yesterday. We got in a large shipment of fall and winter themed stamps, so come out and take a look. It's not too early to think about Halloween and the Holidays. You definitely want to be prepared, and this is just the first shipment of merchandise. Check in often for updates.

This particular card was made with the "Hazel Owl Witch" and "Halloween Hoot" stamps.

Twinkling H2O

This is a unique product that I saw in many booths at CHA. They are dry watercolor cakes that are incredibly shimery. Either use with water-brushes or mist the product with water and use a regular paintbrush to deepen colors or add accents to an image.

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Hi everyone. I got back from my vacation, and waiting for me was this brand new die set. It's called " Mixed Up album". It makes a cute mini album with different (mixed-up) pages. I ordered it without holes, so it can be used vertically, horizontally and to highlight photos or as journaling cards for your scrapbook pages. Our Accucut die-cut machine cuts through cardstock, chipboard and clear plastic sheets. Holes can be punched through any of these with a Crop-A-Dile. Here are some samples of projects made using this die set...

Back in Business after Alex/ July Calendar

Thank God Hurricane Alex was not a direct hit! The store is still boarded up, but we should be back up and running tomorow (Friday, July 2-1 p.m.)). I don't have customers' e-mail addresses on my home computer, so I'll send out the July newsletter tomorrow as well.
In the meantime, check out the July calendar page on the blog. You'll have to click on the calendar once you're in the page to show the entire thing.
